SLEEP CONSULTANCY

How could it help me?

Does my child have a sleep problem?

Have you checked with your child's pediatrician if he/she has any health problems? Talk to your doctor about your child's sleeping habits. If your child does not have any sleep disorders but is having trouble falling asleep or is sleeping less than he/she should for his/her age, I can assist you in building strategies to help your child sleep better.

What does a sleep consultant do?

The sleep consultant is a professional who can help you understand your child's sleep needs according to his/her age and assist in choosing the best approach to improve sleep habits.  They provide support in challenges such as:

- difficulty falling asleep;

- irregular naps;

- lack of routine;

- frequently waking up at night and for a long period of time;

- exaggerated daytime sleepiness;

- waking up very early in the morning.

Regardless of the style of pareting that your family practices, I provide guidance on sleep, based on science, taking into account respect for family dynamics. When the parents understand the processes that assist in quality sleep in the current phase of the child's life, an environment conducive to sleep can be created.

How does the consultation works?

When there is an interest in a consultation, we will first schedule a free 20-30 minute meeting over the phone to talk about your baby's sleep and how the consultation works. The purpose of this conversation is not to advise but to assess whether you can benefit from the consultation and so you can tell a little about what is happening with your baby's sleep. If the consultant is hired, then the service begins, according to the client's choice of service plan.
